Rajeev Ram

Born in Carmel, Indiana, Rajeev Ram was born to a family of tennis players. He grew up playing at the local Carmel Racquet Club. The club would later name a court after him called the Ram Family Championship Court.

From a young age, Ram was all-in on tennis. He won nine national junior titles in singles and doubles. He also played high school tennis at Carmel, earning All-State honors and clinched the state singles championship. He was the runner-up in the junior doubles event at the 2002 Wimbledon.

In 2004, Ram turned to the professional tour, initially focused on singles. He reached a career-high of World No. 56 in April 2016. He secured his first ATP singles title in 2009 at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, before retiring from singles and shifting his focus to doubles. Almost immediately, Ram made an impact in doubles play, claiming the Masters 1000 BNP Paribas Open title with partner and Team Solinco athlete, Raven Klassen.

2019 saw Ram capture his first grand slam in mixed doubles at the Australian Open. From 2020-2022, Ram won at least one grand slam each year; two at the Australian Open (2020, 2021) and two at the US Open (2021, 2022). Ram made history in October 2022 when he became the oldest first-time World No. 1 in Pepperstone ATP Doubles Rankings history. In 2023, Ram gave the tennis world deja vu with his back-to-back championship wins at the Nitto Finals and US Open. The 39-year-old doubles veteran has been crushing the doubles game, winning two of the most prestigious tournaments of the year for the second and third time, alongside Joe Salisbury.
